Where exactly are you located?

Catalpa Grove Events is located 20 minutes north of downtown Asheville in Alexander, NC.

How much does an event at Catalpa Grove Events cost?

Our standard weekend wedding package starts at $2,400 and includes exclusive access to the property, our outdoor event spaces, and the Lounge. If you are interested in booking a micro wedding, elopement, or other events, please get in touch.

How many guests can your spaces accommodate?

Our Event Field can accommodate a tent for approximately 200 guests. Our Catalpa Grove can seat approximately 100 guests, with additional standing room. Our Pine Glade is perfect for micro weddings and elopements for up to 10 guests.

Can I schedule a tour?

We’d love to have you out to the farm to tour our beautiful event spaces. Please complete the contact form on our website and we’ll be in touch about availability and options for scheduling a tour of the property.

How do I reserve my date? 

Please complete the contact form on our website. If you decide to book with Catalpa Grove Events, a $600 security deposit will be required.

When do I have access to the property?

Typically, clients have access to the property from 9:00am to 11:00pm on the event day. Additional access can be arranged for a rehearsal, set-up, and breakdown. We are happy to work with your vendors to ensure they have access to the property for load-in and load-out.

Are there noise restrictions?

We ask that amplified noise ceases at 10:00pm.

Does CGE allow outside vendors?

Yes, we invite you to work with whichever vendors you prefer. We’re happy to provide vendor recommendations as needed, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Does CGE require a wedding planner or coordinator?

Yes, in order to ensure you have the best experience possible, we require our clients to hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator.

Does CGE require event insurance?

We always require event insurance for liability purposes. You must be covered for a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in aggregate. If alcohol is to be served, the licensed vendor must obtain an additional $1,000,000 per occurrence for Liquor Liability naming CGE as an additional insured.

Do you allow candles, sparklers, fireworks, etc. on the property?

Clients are welcome to use candles on tables and other hard, flat surfaces. Due to the nature of the property, no other fire of any kind is allowed.

Are there water and electrical hook-ups available on the property?

Yes, there is drinking water on-site, as well as ample electrical hook-ups. 

Are there bathrooms available?

Yes, we provide a luxury restroom trailer that can accommodate up to 150 guests. The trailer is complete with heat and A/C, flush toilets, and sinks for maximum comfort. Clients will also have access to the bathroom in The Lounge during the pre-event hours of access.

Does my fee include rentals?

No, we do not provide rentals in-house, however, our standard package does include rental assistance, along with a custom rental proposal that can include tents, tables, chairs, etc.

Do you have parking available?

We have parking on gravel for approximately 15 cars, with limited additional parking along our unpaved, country road. If your guest count exceeds 75 guests, we recommend that you work with your event planner to organize a bus or shuttles. 

Wait, am I sharing the property with cows?

Don’t worry, the cows have been moved to another field.
